Many individuals in the nation are currently struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, or at least know someone who is. Research has shown time and again that professional substance abuse treatment is the only surefire way to help struggling individuals recover fully from their addictions. Whether you’re a local resident or you’re from out of state, detox clinics in Florida can help your recovery.
Medical detox takes place before therapy and counseling begin at a top-quality treatment centers. If you abused drugs or alcohol long-term, you’ll likely experience withdrawal symptoms. For example, you used prescription medications or cocaine every day, cessation might lead to headaches, migraines, nausea, stomach pains, hallucinations and other symptoms.
Quality detox clinics in Florida will help curb withdrawal symptoms. Medical professionals prescribe medications to manage your discomfort and maintain your stability.
Once you’re aware attending a professional drug treatment facility is the right choice, only question is where. There are often many options, and it can be difficult to make this big decision in your life. Because of this challenge, here is some advice to help guide you.
If you’re from out-of-state, leaving your local area gets you away from triggers and negative influences at every corner. You may have memories of using substances to suppress pain, depression or loss. Staying in your home area will make it difficult to start a new path toward a new life.
If you already live in Florida, you’re fortunate enough to live in a beautiful climate conducive to long-term recovery. While you have many options, traveling out-of-state puts you at risk of choosing a program without Joint Commission accreditation. These options tend to exist at a higher volume in the area, but one facility in Jacksonville stands out amongst the rest.
Regardless of where you’re from, your treatment shouldn’t end at a detox clinic in Florida. While medical detox is vital, it’s just the first step. You’ll need a continuum of care for the best chance at sustainable recovery.
At Beaches Recovery, your comprehensive treatment program begins at a local partner detox facility. You’ll be under 24/7 supervision as medical professionals minimize your discomfort and get you ready for a customized treatment program.
If you’re struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, it’s time to take action and get your life back. Call Beaches Recovery today at 8666050532 to verify your insurance or learn more about our programs.
