One of the little know facts about healthcare insurance plans is that they are now required to cover addiction treatment services in the same way that they would with any other type of medical condition. This edict was provided by provisions in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). While Aetna does cover drug rehab treatment, the amount of your coverage may vary based on the type of policy you selected when you purchased the insurance.
Aetna is truly a national healthcare insurance provider. With more than 23 million Americans currently on its medical insurance rolls, the company provides its service in all 50 states. They offer both corporate and individual plans that include basic medical and dental benefits, disability and life benefits, behavioral (psychological) health benefits, medical management plans and of course Aetna covers drug rehab treatment. The company’s overall coverage is accepted by as many as 1.1 million healthcare providers, which generate in excess of $60.0 billion in annual revenues.
In recent years, professional drug rehab facilities like Beaches Recovery have developed treatment options that offer less restrictive treatment plans than those found in an inpatient drug rehab. Since Aetna covers drug rehab at least in part, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) treatment options have gained in popularity because of the lower costs associated with such treatment. The good news is these modern treatment methods are proving to be just as effective in helping addicts recover from the disease of addiction. By using a variety of therapy alternatives, patients can receive tailored treatment plans based on their specific needs, including confidential executive drug rehab.
As a policyholder, the fact Aetna covers drug rehab treatment should be of great comfort to you. Addiction is nearly impossible to recover from without help from a professional drug rehab center like Beaches Recovery. During your time working with a drug rehab facility, you should get the opportunity to learn more about the dangers of addiction while acquiring the life skills and tools necessary for relapse prevention once your treatment has concluded.
